Oilers Forward Tyler Ennis “Out Indefinitely” With Leg Injury

-

Ennis went into the boards awkwardly after taking a big hit from Blackhawks’ rookie Kirby Dach.

The Edmonton Oilers will be without forward Tyler Ennis for at least the remainder of the best-of-five series against the Chicago Blackhawks. On Thursday afternoon, Edmonton announced Ennis will be “out indefinitely” after suffering a leg injury on a hit by Kirby Dach from behind the Oilers’ net. Ennis was forced to leave the game and did not return.

Ennis, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound winger, has been skating on the Oilers’ top line with Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in the last two games. His loss will be a tough one for Edmonton to overcome, as the 30-year-old had one goal, one assist, and looked sound on both sides of the puck in the first three games of the series. Look for the Oilers to insert either Gaetan Haas or Patrick Russell into the lineup in replace of Ennis.
