New Data Surfaces And It Doesn’t Look Good For Mitch Trubisky

-

No one can say the Bears offensive line was great to start the year. Hell, they were horrific and downright embarrassing. Committing penalty after penalty, resulting in the offense’s inability to ever establish any type of rhythm.

But new data suggests they have not only tightened things up but have become a very steady unit.

This chart is extremely hard to look at, due to the fact it does nothing but highlight Mitch Trubisky’s flaws. He has essentially the same pass protection as Patrick Mahomes. Yet his production/efficiency is the complete opposite.

The argument that Trubisky was working with a poor offensive line at the beginning of the season was indeed true.

Unfortunately, that excuse is no longer valid according to this data.

Is this enough for the Bears to move on from the third-year pro? No, probably not. But that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as data like this can be some-what deceiving at times. That being said, this type of information should always be taken into account when it comes to making future decisions at the quarterback position.
