Can Any Chicago Team Win A Championship This Season?

-

Over the years, Chicago has produced some of the finest moments in sports history. At the same time, the city is home to some of the best teams in the country. However, those teams have been struggling during the past few years. This is learning many Chicago residents to wonder how much success they’re going to have this season. You have the Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks, and others. As a resident of Chicago, you want your teams to excel. Is there a possibility that one of these teams will be able to claim a championship this season? If so, which team will it be? These questions will be explored in greater depth below.

The Bears

Anyone smart enough to play agen sbobet likely wouldn’t bet on the Bears to win the NFL Championship. Doing so would be a major upset as the team is a big underdog at this point. Nevertheless, you should know that the Bears have improved a lot during the past few years. Still, they’re a long shot to win the championship. It still might happen. First and foremost, you should know that the team made it to the playoffs later season. That was a big improvement. At this point, the team has odds of +700 to win the NFC Championship. That should tell you something about their chances.

They’re not very good. Nevertheless, anything is possible. There is a good chance that they’re going to make their way to the playoffs this season. If they’re able to do that and advance to the second round, they’ll have improved from last season. Their next three games will come against the Redskins, Vikings, and Raiders. These are three teams that the Bears can beat. Doing so would put them on the path to securing a playoff spot.

Will they win the Super Bowl? It is highly unlikely but that shouldn’t stop you from cheering them on anyway.

The Blackhawks

The Blackhawks had a rough season last time out. They found themselves in a hole early on. However, the team showed grit and determination by pulling things together in the latter half of the season. When doing so, they nearly made it to the playoffs. They didn’t but they came close. This yet could be different. The team has looked better during the preseason and they may be able to string together enough wins to achieve more. However, the team has a long road ahead of them. If anything at all goes wrong, there is a good chance that they’ll face problems.

Corey Crawford will be facing a goalie battle against newcomer Robin Lehner. Lehner made it clear that he didn’t come to Chicago to be a backup. He is aiming to take Crawford’s job. He shined last year with the Islanders and he is much younger than Crawford who is a veteran of the sport. If anything happens to Crawford, the Blackhawks can rest assured knowing they have a good alternative in Lehner. The goalie battle will be something to look forward to.

Getting to the playoffs would be a big win for the Blackhawks. Winning the Stanley Cup is stretching it. However, anything can happen in the National Hockey League. There is no reason to give up hope just yet.

The Chicago Cubs

While the Chicago Cubs managed to win the World Series a few years back, they’re not going to do it this season. Fans will have to wait for the next MLB season to rally on their team. Unfortunately, the Cubs have folded and will not be making it to the playoffs. Yesterday, the team played a pivotal game against the St. Louis Cardinals. It was a tight game but one that the Cubs needed to win. They started out well by scoring in the first inning. The Cardinals would tie it up in the 3rd.

The Cubs would score again during the 6th inning to take the lead. From there, they would hold the Cardinals and prevent them from scoring. That would change during the 9th and final inning. During that inning, the Cardinals came out swinging. They would score in the 9th to beat the Cubs with a final score of 3 to 2. In the process, they would squash Chicago residents who had hoped for another successful year for the Cubs.
