Wife of Anthony Adams Tells Hilarious Car Story About Former Bear

-

Casual Chicago Bears fans probably don’t remember Anthony Adams as a football player. He was a solid defensive tackle they picked him in the late 2000s who served as a quality run defender. What stood more than his play though was his personality. Adams was an absolute riot off the field. After being cut in 2013, he transformed those comedic gifts into a second career.

The man has become a social media sensation in that time with millions of followers on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. One of the things that has driven this success is his uncanny array of characters he’s created. Among them include Cream E. Biggums, Vernice, Iron Man, The Griller, Fat Wonder, Coach Dunn Dunn, Monarch Mike and Eight Ball Jamie.

Aside from the tremendous talent it takes to portray them all, it also undoubtedly costs some money to provide the necessary costumes to fully bring them to life. That’s when his wife Andenika told Dan Pompei of The Athletic how wacky some of his ideas can get, and also how dangerously he can live sometimes.

This has been an adventure for the Adams family, which includes children Anthony, 11, Ameena, 9, Amaya, 7, and Ayanna, 6. They never can guess what will be in the latest Amazon delivery. Spice has a huge case in their north suburban house full of costumes and props.

Andenika once opened the trunk of their car and discovered a wig, a Hawaiian shirt and a samurai sword.

“I’m like, if the police were ever to stop you, they would have a lot of questions,” she said.

Anthony Adams is an inspiration for NFL players facing life after football

One of the great things about Adams is the fact that he didn’t let the end of his NFL career derail his life. This is something that happens far too often. Players leave the game with no sense of direction about how to handle life after football. Many end up going broke trying different business ventures they have no real ideal how to handle in the first place.

Adams is an inspiration and an example for them. He teaches that the best thing to do is not get hung up on what you’ve lost. Instead explore what you love and don’t be afraid to throw yourself fully into that next phase of life. If done so with enthusiasm and energy, things always tend to work out in the end. Adams himself ended up returning to the Bears as a host for one of their most popular YouTube shows, “Inside The Bears.”

There is no telling what he may cook up next.
