Could The Bulls Deal For Lonzo Ball?

-

Woah, Woah, WOAH!

Do not crucify me here, Bulls fans. I am just going off of what I’ve seen on twitter and this whole crazy Anthony Davis situation! Why don’t we dive in and talk about this a little bit?

The Los Angeles Lakers are the clear cut favorites to land Chicago’s own, Anthony Davis. They have a bunch of young talent at their disposal and AD wants to play with LeBron. Though yesterday it was reported that if Lonzo Ball was included in this trade he would want a third team to get involved without a clear cut starting Point Guard.

Now, I am not saying the Bulls are going to be the third team, but it is possible. Rumors have been swirling about the team wanting to move Jabari Parker and Kris Dunn. Kris hasn’t exactly been what the Bulls fans or front office were hoping for thus far and we all know the train wreck that is the Jabari Parker situation.

Could those two players be packaged and shipped off? Would the Bulls be interested?

Bulls receive: Lonzo Ball, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (expiring)

Lakers receive: Anthony Davis, Tim Frazier

Pelicans receive: Kris Dunn, Jabari Parker, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac, Lakers 2020 first round pick, and 2020 second-round pick (from Memphis, via Chicago).

This trade works on the ESPN NBA Trade Machine and I think it works for each franchise involved.

Lonzo is only 21 years old and has the potential to get a lot better. Lonzo is a beast on defense and is a very good playmaker which could help benefit Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr, and Zach LaVine.

Kris Dunn is 24 years old, has battled a lot of injuries thus far and has never seemed to get into a real groove. Personally, I am not ready to give up on Dunn, but bringing in a player like Lonzo, I’d be okay with it.

Besides free throw percentage, Lonzo’s numbers are comparable to Kris and I honestly don’t see the Bulls losing much if this change is made. Of course, Lonzo will bring some baggage with him, I am talking about Lavar of course. Who the hell knows? Maybe Lavar will whip this front office into shape by talking unlimited amounts of smack!
Figured it would be something cool and fresh to bring up. Who knows if it goes down or not, but I’d be on board.
