Matt Nagy has split Chicago Bears fans of late. Not so much with his coaching conduct on the field but more with his handling of injured players. None more so than Mitch Trubisky. The general belief was the Bears quarterback was healthy enough to play last week in New York but Nagy and the coaches decided to keep him on the bench as a precaution. They wanted him at 100% when he did eventually return.
Several people weren’t happy about that, especially after the Bears lost in overtime to the Giants. A game in which backup Chase Daniel had two turnovers and almost had five or six others. It was felt Trubisky would’ve made the difference had he been allowed to play. Nagy doesn’t regret the decision but he has garnered some criticism for it.
Now one of the biggest games of the year is on the horizon. The powerhouse Los Angeles Rams are coming to town with only one loss this season. They boast one of the best offenses in football. Points will be needed if the Bears want a chance to win and Trubisky will be needed to score those points. So will he play?
Nagy offered his most definitive sign yet that this should be the case.

Mitchell Trubisky said his arm feels good and he expects to play, but knows he must prove to the Bears he's 100 percent: "I feel confident that I'll be able to go."

Trubisky himself didn’t seem to lack that same optimism. If anything he sounded like a man who would have to be dragged off the field after being forced to sit the past two weeks. One thing is for sure. Bears fans will be happy to see him back on the field after experiencing two weeks of Daniel.
