Jets are HUGE Underdogs And Two More Early Lines For NFL Week 8

-

Sunday’s action for Week 7 is in the books, and with it, so are your bets. Hopefully, you had a lot of success this past week with so many lines changing from last Monday up until kickoff on Sunday. Each week, lines change based on where the money goes throughout the week, so it’s crucial to scoop up the best numbers you can as early as possible. For example, if the Browns are -2.5 favorites against the Las Vegas Raiders and Odell Beckham Jr. gets ruled out for the season with an ACL tear, it’s best to take the Raiders now at +points rather than wait for them to possibly become favorites with the injury news.

Last week, we gave you several winners including Detroit +3. Since it’s so important to grab these early numbers in sports betting, we discuss which lines to jump on now to find potential value each week in the NFL.

All numbers provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

New England Patriots (2-4) at Buffalo Bills (5-2)

Early Line: BUF -4, NE +4

Total: 44

The look-ahead for this game was Buffalo -2.5. This means that people are starting to fade the Patriots after their terrible performance against the San Francisco 49ers this past weekend. The Pats can’t do anything offensively, with QB Cam Newton throwing 3 interceptions and passing for less than 100 yards against the 49ers. Bill Belichick reiterated that Newton is still the starting QB after benching him late in the game for Jarrett Stidham, but the Patriots are just a mess right now. The line movement is pretty significant because it goes through the key number of 3. Even after Buffalo’s weak performance against the hapless New York Jets, we’d still lay the points with them at home against a struggling New England team.

New York Jets (0-7) at Kansas City Chiefs (6-1)

Early Line: KC -20.5, NYJ +20.5

Total: 49

This is going to be the talk of the sports betting world all week long. If you turn on FS1 or ESPN, there is a good chance they will bring up this incredible line at some point. There is really no other reason to talk about this game, as the Jets will certainly lose and drop to 0-8. The only real question here is how much will the Jets lose by? The look-ahead line was KC -21, so Jets’ money is actually coming in. The Chiefs destroyed the Denver Broncos yesterday 43-16, but the score was helped out by two special teams touchdowns. Pat Mahomes hasn’t looked like his usual great self lately, but he really wouldn’t have to be to beat New York. The Jets players are going to be seeing this all week, and we think they will come out inspired to bring their best effort of the year. Plus, their defense has quietly played great lately.

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-0) at Baltimore Ravens (5-1)

Early Line: BAL -5.5, PIT +5.5

Total: 47

This is going to be the game that everyone is going to be betting on an undefeated Pittsburgh getting points. And why wouldn’t you? Even if the Steelers lose, it’s going to be a close game. Their defense is too good for this game to get away from them completely, and Ben Roethlisberger and their running game should be able to do enough to keep it close. Baltimore hasn’t looked like world-beaters recently, and Lamar Jackson has struggled mightily throwing the football. Coming off the bye week, Baltimore should be well-rested and more organized on offense about the identity they want to play with. These teams are pretty even, so when one of them is getting this many points, jump on it now. This will most likely move closer to a pick-em’ by kickoff when all the public money starts rolling in on Pittsburgh.
