How about this big surprise right after clinching a playoff berth. The White Sox have called up left-handed pitching prospect Garrett Crochet and there’s good chance he’s staying up through the playoffs.
This does come with some bad news as right-handed reliever Evan Marshall is headed to the 10-day injured list. However, the White Sox still expect Marshall to return for the final series of the regular season against the Cubs next weekend.

But once again, Garrett Crochet has arrived to the south side!
Sox call up top pick. Garrett Crochet from Schaumburg. Will join the bullpen and could make postseason, Hahn says. Will be a long term starter. Marshall to IL.
