Chicago Bears fans couldn’t be happier that Cody Parkey is gone. The nightmare of January 2019 is certain to not go away for a long time. Many still hear the words “Double Doink” in their nightmares. In truth, the team hasn’t yet recovered from that game. The same can be said for the man himself. Despite multiple tryouts, the former Pro Bowler just couldn’t latch on to a new roster.
However, the misfortune of others seems to have smiled upon him. Parkey managed to sign a deal with the Cleveland Browns to become their new kicker. That is a rather perfect pairing if one thinks about it. The best part though? Browns fans are already getting a taste of what might be in store for them.
According to multiple media people attending the upcoming Thursday Night Football game between Cleveland and the Cincinnati Bengals, the kicker hasn’t changed much. Quite the opposite. One has to marvel at this consistency at this point.
