Coby White added another honor to his resume after he was named to the All-Rookie Second Team.

White earned the rookie of the month in March of this year when he was playing lights out for 9 games. White started slowly this year with a few big games here and there. At the end of the season, he turned it on and was playing at a high level.
Coby White, first 56 games:
11.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 36.9 FG%, 33.2 3P%, 47.6 TS%
Coby White, last 9 games:
26.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 48.0 FG%, 43.2 3P%, 61.0 TS%

In those last 9 games, White couldn’t be stopped. It showed a glimpse of how special the tandem of Lavine and White could be. Then the season was cut short due to COVID and we haven’t seen Coby play since. However, White is still being recognized for a solid season. When all was said and done White finished the season with 13.2 ppg, 2.7 assists, 39.4 FG%, & 35.4 3P%. It was a solid year for the first-year guard, especially considering who his coach was.
Overall the team should be excited about White. He finished the season very strongly and it was noticed. Breaking down the votes Coby got 8 points for first-team all-rookie. Clearly some voters saw White as being one of the top 5 rookies this year.

Whether Coby is first team or second the Bulls look to have made a good decision on drafting White. He doesn’t look like he will be a floor general but he looks to be a big boost for the offense. With the right coach in place, the Bulls could have a fierce 1-2 punch with Lavine and White.
