Jimmy Graham Delivers Ultimate Compliment Regarding This Bears Player

Jimmy Graham entered the league back in 2010 where he put up decent numbers as a rookie. He racked in a total of 356 yards while reeling in 5 TD catches in his first season. It’s a known fact that tight ends usually take a little bit longer to develop when it comes to the transition from college to the pros. However, things started to click for Graham rather quickly as he had a monster second season in the NFL. In just his second year, Graham caught 99 passes for 1,310 yards and 11 TD. He was also selected to his first Pro Bowl. The reason I bring up all of these numbers is due to what Jimmy Graham had to say regarding the Bears recently drafted tight end Cole Kmet. Graham spoke to the media Thursday afternoon and gave Kmet the ultimate compliment.

“He’s every bit of 260. He reminds me of a young me.”

The praise didn’t stop there either.

Heading into the offseason the Bears had a glaring need at tight end. They decided to fill that hole by signing Jimmy Graham in free agency and drafting Cole Kmet with their first pick in the draft. So the fact Kmet is receiving this type of praise, this early on should excite Bears fans. The idea that the Bears might be set at TE for the next several years would be a welcoming sight as it’s such an important role in the modern-day NFL offense.

Hopefully, we don’t trade him as we did with Greg Olsen. Yes, that move still pisses me off.
