Blackhawks Release Local Broadcast Schedule For Series vs. Oilers

The best-of-five series against Edmonton is set to begin on Sat., Aug. 1 at 2:00 p.m. (CT) on NBC 5 Chicago.

The Chicago Blackhawks announced the local broadcast schedule for their play-in series against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday afternoon. Before Game 1 in Edmonton though, the Hawks will play an exhibition game in their hub city of Edmonton on Wed. July 29 against the St. Louis Blues, which will be aired on NBCSports Chicago Plus at 5:30 p.m. (CT).

The broadcast for the series vs. the Oilers is as follows:

The winner of the series will move on to the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, while the loser will join seven other teams with a 12.5 percent chance at landing the first overall selection in the 2020 NHL Draft. Phase 2 of the NHL’s Draft Lottery will be held on Aug. 10, and the draft itself takes place on Oct. 9-10.
