Bears Mailbag -- Can Ledarius Mack Make The Team And Team Up With Khalil?

Anyone else feel like time is going by quickly in our new, COVID-smeared universe? It’s already Memorial Day weekend. We’ve lost so many sports events over the last two months that usually occupy a good portion of our time and deliver us mixed feelings of joy and angst.

And yet, time continues to fly. I guess the faster 2020 ends, the better, huh?

Well, at least the faster we get to the decision points about the NFL season, the better. Right now, the NFL is planning to have their season as scheduled, and I don’t think I could tolerate delays or cancellations here.

I see him as an ILB. Tough to say if he’ll make the team. He’d have to beat out Josh Woods or Joel Iyiegbuniwe for a spot. Keep an eye on Rashad Smith, too.

Well I picked them to go 9-7 when the schedule came out, so I hope so. Feels like this team thrives more as the underdog. Problem is, I doubt the league sees them the same way the media does.

Lazor is an underrated hire. He’ll have the offense prepared better than Helfrich ever did. Nagy will call the plays, but why do you think Nagy hates Montgomery?

The Bears think their line is better than others do, and they like their competition at RG better than others do.

They also have a lot of faith in Juan Castillo.

Yes. Ifedi is talented and fits well at RG. Castillo is a better coaching fit for this scheme than Hiestand.

If the QB play is average, they can easily be a Top 16 offense.

I’d say it’s unlikely. Fitts has done nothing to warrant a roster spot other than exist as a sixth-round pick.

This offseason it seems to generate spark, because I can’t see how a team like the Bears can be picked to be so much worse than last year when they had so much go wrong for them and still finished with eight wins.
