No Fans Allowed To Attend Games Until May In Chicago

-

Chicago sports fans you’re going to have to wait a little longer to watch your favorite team play in person. All professional sports leagues have indefinitely suspended activity and on Thursday night Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker said there will not be any spectators at sporting events until May 1, if there are sporting events at all in the first place.

There’s a chance that no games will take place in Chicago until after April.

That includes the Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks and Fire.

“All of the owners that I spoke with told me they completely understood and were more than willing to comply with this guidance,” he said. “I want to thank them for putting the health and safety of the residents of our state above all else.”

MLB has delayed the start of the regular season by at least two weeks, while the NBA, NHL and MLS have suspended their seasons.

Safe to say that you won’t be seeing any sports action for at least another month and when games do resume there won’t be any fans allowed in attendance until May in the state of Illinois.
