Philadelphia Eagles fans certainly loved rubbing it in the faces of Chicago Bears fans when they got Alshon Jeffery and ended up winning a championship that first year with him. However, plenty of Bears fans continued to warn the Philly faithful. Give it time. They would grow frustrated and tired of him soon enough. It was only a matter of time.
By the sound of things, the boiling point as finally arrived. Youtube personality EDP445, who is a diehard Eagles fan, went on a rant during a recent video about how the team is wasting the career of Carson Wentz because they haven’t done a good enough job trying to surround him with better weapons. He used the recent trade for DeAndre Hopkins as a perfect example.
This inevitably brought him around to the subject of Jeffery and boy did he have some things to say about that.
Alshon Jeffery remains in limbo regarding his future
There was a lot of speculation that the Eagles might consider moving on from Jeffery. His effectiveness on offense has continued to slacken each year. He played just 13 games in 2018 and had the infamous drop that cost them a win over New Orleans in the playoffs. Then he managed to get through just 10 games last year. His health problems are something Bears fans know about all too well. The guy has played a full season just twice in his NFL career.

GM Howie Roseman admitted his status is murky. The team isn’t ready to commit to him returning in 2020. First, they need to see if he can pass a physical, which is difficult due to the ongoing COVID-19 issues. Jeffery just turned 30-years old in February. So age is becoming a factor as well. What was once such a promising career is starting to fade fast.
