GM Ryan Pace has done some solid work thus far in helping the Chicago Bears improve this offseason. He traded for Nick Foles while also signing Jimmy Graham and Robert Quinn as free agents. While all three are on the older side, they’re instant upgrades in the short-term at their respective positions. Some are wondering if the team has any more moves in mind given their limited cap space. Cordarrelle Patterson is ready to do his part, that’s for sure.
The wide receiver and All-Pro kick returner seems to have made it his personal mission to become the Bears’ official free agent booster. He’s been sending shoutouts to several notable names since the action began back on the 16th of March. It started with his old teammate Teddy Bridgewater and has since expanded to include others like safety Tony Jefferson.
Now Patterson has decided he might as well go all-in. He’s sending pitched to any notable player who might fit what the Bears need. One has to admire his commitment.
Cordarrelle Patterson certainly isn’t hurting the cause
It’s hard to say how much good this will do. Money and fit are the typical driving forces behind a player signing with certain teams. Still, Patterson’s heart is in the right place. Andrus Peat is a former Pro Bowl guard who did good work in New Orleans protecting Drew Brees. He’d make a nice addition in the vacant right guard spot. As for Vonn Bell? He is the quintessential strong safety who can play the run and blitz. Exactly what they want next to Eddie Jackson.

Whether he succeeds or not doesn’t matter. It’s just nice to see Patterson is doing a little extra to help the team win while also entertaining fans along the way.
