Jon Lester Calls Out The Trash Can Of A Commissioner That Is Rob Manfred

-

Is there anyone else doing a worse job with damage control than the Houston Astros? Actually, yes, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred.

Not really sure what the hell Manfred is trying to accomplish as commissioner other than attempting to ruin the game and piss everyone off every time he speaks, but if that’s his goal then he’s doing a great job. Somehow Manfred has turned the Astros cheating scandal into players calling him out for being a buffoon.

In a recent interview discussing the punishment or lack there of to the Astros, Manfred said the following about stripping Houston of its 2017 World Series.

In some cases, the effort has been practical, but a lesson learned in times of crisis is that even the slightest misstep can color the intentions. During an interview Sunday, ESPN’s Karl Ravech asked Manfred about the possibility of stripping the Astros of their title. In the middle of his slippery-slope defense, Manfred said: “The idea of an asterisk or asking for a piece of metal back seems like a futile act.”

Hmmm, a piece of metal? Yeah, that’s going to piss off players.

Justin Turner didn’t hold back.

And on Tuesday Cubs pitcher Jon Lester went in on Manfred as well.

Rob Manfred continues to be terrible.
