A disappointing NFL season left many Chicago Bears fans wanting in 2019, but the failure to make it even close to this campaign’s Super Bowl doesn’t mean they can’t recruit Super Bowl stars.
The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will contest Super Bowl LIV on February 2, with numerous desirables who will play in that match due to enter free agency in the off-season.

It’s fair to say there are other dire needs in Chicago, however, and we consider three potential stars who could soon be up for grabs.
DE Arik Armstead, 49ers
The 37-20 NFC Championship win over the Green Bay Packers illustrated how important pass-rusher Arik Armstead is to a defense that’s formed the foundation of the 49ers’ Super Bowl charge.
The 2015 first-round Draft pick from Oregon has made 54 tackles this season and recorded a team-high 10 sacks in 2019.
Defense isn’t the Bears’ most desperate need during this offseason, though defensive end Brent Urban could free up a slot if he leaves in free agency.
CB Kendall Fuller, Chiefs
Kendall Fuller makes a lot of sense as a target for Chicago, who could offer him the sweetener of being able to play alongside his older brother, Kyle, who’s already at Soldier Field.
Both Fullers can play cornerback, but Kansas City-based Kendall has found success as a safety this season, and the Bears could use upgrades in both positions. Another Chiefs cornerback, Morris Claiborne, is also due to enter free agency this year and brings more experience than Fuller, but the higher cost and less versatility marks him as the inferior choice.
DE Emmanuel Ogbah, Chiefs
A lot of Chiefs fans will have defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah on their list of soon-to-be free agents the franchise must resign after a breakout 2019 season.
Nigeria-born Ogbah led Kansas City in sacks made (5.5) when he suffered a season-ending pectoral tear in November, all the more impressive considering he had only four starts.
That injury could work in favor of any suitors should he chase a bigger contract away from Arrowhead Stadium, and the 26-year-old could become more of a centerpiece elsewhere.
