As many of you know the Cubs convention is currently going on this weekend. Kris Bryant, who made trip out to Chicago has since come down with the flu. Meaning he will more than likely miss a lot the convention moving forward. Kris is still giving out fist bumps though, so that’s cool.
That is flu season for ya though. No one is safe and that even includes former MVPs.
KB’s late scratch has created conspiracy theories
With all the trade rumors that have been circulating around the Cubs and their All-Star third baseman, the timing of Bryant’s illness has left a lot of Cubs and even media members suspicious. Some say the flu card is a smoke screen because they believe KB is soon to be dealt.
Jessica Bryant puts Cubs fans on blast
Apparently, all these rumors regarding Bryant’s health didn’t sit well with his wife, Jessica. She went on Twitter and called out everyone who insists KB is faking all this:

It is hard to argue with everything she said. I think it is safe to say that Kris Bryant really does have the flu. At least we can put one rumor to bed.
