We’ve gone from ESPN completely forgetting that the White Sox are a professional baseball team that also plays in Chicago to ESPN predicting the greatest decade in team history.
White Sox fans can’t say they’re being ignored anymore. ESPN writer Bradford Doolittle made a bunch of MLB predictions for the 2020s and White Sox fans are going to be over the moon if even half of these come true.
I mean, just look at the first few.
Doolittle is ALL IN on the 2023 White Sox. More on that later. But right off the bat he predicts the White Sox have the best single-season record of any team this decade AND not only does he predict the Cubs to lose 107 games in 2024, but more importantly the hated Cleveland Indians absolutely stink up the joint during the next 10 years.
If you can’t tell by now, these predictions LOVE the future on the South Side.
Now, let’s get to some individual player predictions involving the White Sox.
Highest batting average: season: Nick Madrigal, 2023 (.364)
2023 American League MVP: Luis Robert
Hardest-throwing pitcher: Michael Kopech
Top power/speed combination: Luis Robert
Best offense: 2023 Chicago White Sox
Best infield: 2023 Chicago White Sox (Andrew Vaughn, Nick Madrigal, Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada)
Most wins by pitcher: decade: Lucas Giolito (152)
Best MLB Pitcher in 2025: Michael Kopech
Best MLB Pitcher in 2026: Michael Kopech
And Doolittle also lists Nick Madrigal and Luis Robert on the Gold Glove team for the decade.
All right White Sox fans, now that you’ve changed your pants you can check out the rest of the predictions here.
