In perhaps the biggest scandal in decades for Major League Baseball, the Houston Astro’s sign stealing debacle has sent shock-waves across the entire league. Jesse Rogers who covers the Cubs for ESPN 1000 and espnchicago.com just released some news regarding sign stealing against the Cubs. He shed some light on the whole ordeal with an interesting tweet this afternoon:
Rizzo said “100 percent” teams were sign stealing on the Cubs but didn’t know how far it went and also said teams would sometimes make sounds as a decoy to make it look like they were stealing. Couldn’t say for sure anything about the Astros based on the 3 games there last season
How far does this thing go? Were the Brewers one of the teams who were stealing the Cubs signs?
Who really knows — but if there is one thing this entire investigation has shown us, it’s this.
