Wendell Carter Jr. Sees This Teammate As The Bulls’ Franchise Player

-

Wendell Carter Jr. is only twenty years old but continues to be a leader inside the Bulls locker room. After last night’s win at home against the Memphis Grizzlies, Wendell had some strong words in regards to his teammate Zack LaVine.

“I definitely can see him becoming that franchise player for the Chicago Bulls and in any way I can help him in growing as that player, I try to.”

Zach LaVine is currently averaging 22.5 points, 4 rebounds, 3.9 assists per game all while shooting 41.5% from three. Is Zach a guy the Bulls can build around? Absolutely. The real question here is whether he can be THE guy on a contending team. Right now, we can only wait and see how LaVine finishes the remaining 60 regular season games. This will be a good indication moving forward on whether the 24 year old will take that next step the Bulls are desperately looking for.
