REPORT: Odell Beckham Wants To Be Traded To Green Bay

-

Twitter is currently buzzing with suspicion as a recent report from Skip Bayless indicates Odell Beckham Junior wants to play with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

Beckham has been quietly airing his frustrations with Cleveland and their inability to win and/or get him the ball. After 13 games OBJ has just 59 receptions, his lowest ever (not counting his injury-riddled 2017 season). Meanwhile, the Browns are 6-7 after assembling a “super team” in the off-season that included a trade for Beckham.

As Peter Bukowski tweeted above, it will not take a lot of dead cap space for Cleveland to get rid of Beckham and they’ve got Jarvis Landry as a number one receiver if they do.

However, just because Beckham wants to play with Aaron Rodgers doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. Many believe, including Beckham, that he was purposely traded to Cleveland to suffer after his controversial split from New York. Why would the Browns reward Beckham? Especially after reportedly asking other players to convince their team to come trade for him. Jay Glazer originally reported that.

One thing is clear, Chicago Bears fans do not want to see OBJ in Green Bay. Rodgers has managed to lead the Packers to the #2 seed for the NFC with Davonte Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling as his top receivers. Could you imagine how dangerous #12 would be with OBJ on his team? Beckham has four seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards, three with 1,300+. Adams and Valdes-Scantling barely have 1,000 yards combined.

As Chicago prepares for a gigantic game versus Green Bay this week, the rumors about OBJ are frightening – even if they are just hearsay right now.

Stay tuned.
