Another Bulls Starter Is Out With An Injury

-

Almost nothing has gone well for the Bulls early this season, as the head coach is more worried about teaching the game than winning, the young core hasn’t meshed on the court and on top of it all there are more injuries.

Wednesday began with the news of Otto Porter Jr. being out at least two more weeks after having a second MRI that found bone bruising in his left foot. Porter last played on Nov. 6, against the Hawks and left the game with a foot strain.

Since then Porter’s replacement in the starting lineup has been second-year forward Chandler Hutchison. His numbers don’t jump off the box score, as he’s averaged almost nine points in 22 minutes during the past five games, but he’s been fine with Porter sidelined.

Unfortunately, Hutchison won’t be starting against the Pistons tonight, ruled out because of sore shins.

Jim Boylen won’t name a starter until right before tipoff, but it won’t be Thaddeus Young.

Hey, Luol Deng will be at the United Center tonight to be honored by the Bulls. Give him a uniform and have him ready to go.

UPDATE

Shaq Harrison is starting because Jim Boylen likes football players.
