WATCH: 2021 ND QB Commit Is On Fire

-

Back in March 2019, high school quarterback Tyler Buchner committed to the University of Notre Dame. Now, the 2021 ND QB commit is on fire.

You have to see the clip of his highlights from their 40-6 victory over Tri-City Christian on Saturday.

Right now, he’s lighting up the stat sheet. The Bishop School in La Jolla, California are perfect to this point of the season in large part from their stellar quarterback.

Scouts are giving him a comparison to Sam Darnold, also a four-star recruit is pretty good company. Buchner is also a fan of current Irish quarterback Ian Book.

Book came out of Oak Ridge HS in El Dorado Hills, California – about eight hours north of the Bishops School in La Jolla.

Big Picture

Notre Dame’s recruiting classes for 2020 and 2021 are loaded with big play potential. They are sitting at ninth overall for the 2020 class, and are third in Buchner’s 2021 recruiting class.

The Irish are quietly assembling a potent offense.

In fact, the 2020 class will feature, two five star recruits in Chris Tyree and Jordan Johnson. This marks first time Notre Dame lands two five star offensive players in the same class.

Watch List

In addition to Buchner – Irish fans should be on notice awaiting the decision of five start running back Will Shipley who would also join Buchner in the 2021 class.

Shipley was at the Notre Dame USC match up a few weeks back and was quoted saying “Notre Dame is really something special.”

Back to Work

Notre Dame goes to Ann Arbor this weekend in a showdown against Michigan. The Irish have to rely on the tools they already have to get the job done and hand Michigan a second straight loss.
