Mitch Trubisky started the game against the Minnesota Vikings and was injured during a scramble on the first offensive series. He landed awkwardly on his left side with his left arm jacked far behind him, the defender landing right on his shoulder. He was escorted to the medical tent and after an extended stay departed for the locker. Initial looks were not good and suggest he may not only miss the game but significant time beyond.
This puts the Bears once again in the hands of veteran backup Chase Daniels. Not the most desirable proposition given his uneven history. Still, the team has little choice but to forge ahead. The good news is both the Packers and Lions lost this weekened. So if they can somehow salvage a victory over Minnesota, they’ll be in great shape until Trubisky returns. Provided of course the injury isn’t season-threatening.
