White Sox Place Pitcher On Paternity List, Replace Him With Worse Pitcher

-

Left-handed reliever Jace Fry was placed on the paternity list before Friday night’s game against the Rangers. He’ll be gone for at least one game, but he’ll return after no more than three days.

So, congrats to Jace!

But in the meantime, the White Sox are replacing him right-hander Jose Ruiz, who hasn’t been particularly good. This is the fifth time Ruiz has been called up by the White Sox in 2019, with the four previous stints concluding in a 5.45 ERA in 33 innings.

But hey, the righty is on a hot streak pitching at Triple-A, allowing just one run his last 10 innings with the Charlotte Knights.

You know what they say, fifth time’s the charm.
