Objectively speaking, what an awesome moment. Eloy Jiménez gets traded from the Cubs to the White Sox, he’s upset about it at first, but later understands the benefit on both sides. But still, he wants to prove to everyone that trading him was a mistake, especially to the Cubs. First MLB game against the Cubs he comes up and hits a two-run, go-ahead home run in the ninth inning to win the game for the White Sox.

Oh and he did it while breaking his bat. Just a powerful swing from a powerful man.

Now, speaking as a Cubs fan, holy fucking shit, what a kick to the balls.

I mean, you could kind of feeling coming after Pedro Strop missed badly against James McCann and then he missed big against Eloy and he made Strop pay for it.

Cubs fans are going to blame Strop and look at another bullpen melt down, but I can’t sit here and blame Strop after the Cubs scored one run against the worst starting pitcher in baseball. After Kyle Schwarber’s leadoff home run on the first pitch of the game, the Cubs offense didn’t do shit.

The Crosstown Classic actually feeling fun for a change.
