Update: MLB Umpires Still Suck Ass And Addison Russell Is Worthless

This entire series we were treated to the most horse shit umpiring I can remember. From missing an obvious swing on what should have been the last out of Monday’s game to all around incompetence calling balls and strikes. I know that J.T. Realmuto is one of the best pitch framers in the game, but he doesn’t even have to disguise trying to fool umpires because they’re apparently too stupid to notice how blatant he moves his glove half a foot on every low pitch.

Anyway, in the ninth inning after Anthony Rizzo reached on a bunt single and Willson Contreras walked, Phillies closer Hector Neris fell behind Jason Heyward 3-0 and then threw ball four. That would have loaded the bases with nobody out in a 9-6 game.

But no, the dumbass umpire called it a strike and a few pitches later Heyward struck out swinging.

Fuck these bullshit calls. And it’s not just one or two a game, it’s almost one missed call every damn at-bat.

Anyway, after Heyward struck out, Tyler Chatwood had to pinch-hit because Joe Maddon ran out of bench players, but Chatwood actually came through with a double to left.

That made it 9-7, with only one out and two runners in scoring position.

Then, Addison Russell struck out swinging. Absolutely worthless since coming back from his domestic violence suspension. He’s been garbage not only on offense, but has cost the Cubs some outs with his noodle arm at shortstop.

Victor Caratini made the final out.

The Cubs split this series and will begin a three-game series against the Reds on Friday.

Give me robot umpires right fucking now. Enough with these people guessing.
