Brendan Perlini Gets 1st Career Hat Trick, Revenge Against Former Team

-

MAN — what a game! Brendan Perlini took advantage of his ice time tonight against his former team, the Arizona Coyotes. Perlini scored his 1st career hat trick in a totally one-sided 7-1 victory.

This outing couldn’t have come at a better time for Perlini, as he hasn’t done much since joining the Blackhawks. The hat trick brings his point total to 16 (11G, 5A) on the season and he keeps his hot streak going. Perlini had 3 points (3G) in the 5 games leading up to tonight’s outburst.

Brendan Perlini certainly boosted his value tonight and showed that he can produce in the right role. It looks like Perlini has finally found a steady spot on the roster, alongside the dynamic duo of Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Strome. This newly formed 2nd line looks like it could be pretty deadly for the foreseeable future. Let’s just hope StanBo makes the right call this offseason and gives Brendan Perlini an extension, because I can definitely get used to seeing this.
