A Familiar Name Will Join Wrigley Field’s 2019 Beer Menu

There’s nothing quite like sitting down at Wrigley Field on a hot summer day and taking a sip of your first nine dollar beer. For years, Cubs fans were essentially given the option of Bud, Bud Light, and Old Style as their drink of choice but those days are quickly changing.

Starting this year, Wrigley will welcome some new faces to their historically boring beer menu — most notably Northwest Indiana’s own, Three Floyds, who have a loyal following of beer snobs across the country.

Anheuser-Busch products (Bud, Bud Light, Goose Island, and Michelob Ultra) will still dominate the ballpark taps and will be the only products sold by vendors but other breweries such as Half Acre, Revolution, and Begyle will be in select locations across the park.

As a craft beer connoisseur myself, I look forward to a new presence of local beers at Wrigley Field. What I don’t look forward to are dudes named Chad wearing boat shoes and salmon shorts double fisting the sweet nectar of the Gods, also known as Gumballhead. Also, I’m not sure how much these new beers will cost you but just to be safe, I’d take out an extra $200 at the ATM so you can afford to buy you and your friends a round.
