Don’t look now, Bulls fans, but Lauri Markkanen is setting the damn world on fire! The month of February has been a good one for Lauri. He is averaging 26.5PPG 12.5RPG 2.5APG and shooting 38% from downtown.
Lauri Markkanen has his 7th 20-point/10-rebound game over his last 8.

In this span, Lauri has had 7 20-point/10-rebound games and looked like an alpha out on the court.

Also over the last 10 games, the Chicago Bulls are number 1 in offensive rating. Lauri and Zach alongside newly acquired Otto Porter Jr. have been pushing the pace and making the Bulls an exciting run and gun offense.
It’s also super beneficial that Lauri has been getting the ball more as of late. It’s been no secret in the past that Lauri hasn’t gotten the most shot opportunities. That has all changed this month.
This is now Lauri Markkanen's eighth game with at least 20 shot attempts.
Four of those have come in the past five games.

Lauri has the skill set to be a future NBA All-Star and by his play as of late, he has shown the potential to be a top 10 player in the league. When you have a 7 footer who can pull up from three, back a player down in the post, and hit a floater off the dribble, you have a damn unicorn. Here is some footage of Lauri’s play this month.

If Lauri can keep up this pace and keep developing like that, he could be the 1A player of this teams future.
