REPORT: Kris Bryant Will NOT Come Back To Cubs, Or MAYBE HE WILL COME BACK TO CUBS

-

You know it’s a really slow offseason when the same dumb, pointless angle of what Kris Bryant will do three years from now is the biggest piece of news for the Cubs in the middle of December.

So, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times was on 670 The Score Tuesday morning and during the segment on Mully and Haugh, the Cubs beat writer dropped this BOMBSHELL!!!

Wow! You guys seeing this news?!?! Kris Bryant is definitely NOT coming back to the Cubs when he becomes a free agent, but ALSO there’s a chance he DOES come back!

How ground breaking. Oh and apparently Wittenmyer has looked into the future and knows what Bryant will do and that the Cubs will have zero pitching prospects who work out, or that the front office won’t be able to make trades for starting pitchers who end up being bargains like Kyle Hendricks or Jake Arrieta. Nope, impossible for this front office to do. It’s never been done.

And by the way, if Kris Bryant does leave then it probably means Bryce Harper already has a contract with the Cubs. So, if that’s the case, fine. You get this core while Bryant and Harper are in their primes for three years.

I didn’t listen to the segment, but at least Wittenmyer didn’t bring up the idea of trading Bryant like David Kaplan did, when this exact conversation also happened back in October.

It’s Technically Not Even The Offseason And We Already Have Trade Kris Bryant “Whispers”

All right, now we can go back to falling for fake MLB insider accounts, but hey at least those are somewhat refreshing and make up new bullshit instead of recycling the same old bullshit from two months ago.
