Addison Russell is supposedly going through therapy this offseason after MLB suspended him 40 games following the league’s investigation of domestic violence allegations by his ex-wife Melisa Reidy. The Cubs haven’t made their stance on Russell’s future with the club definitive, as Theo Epstein has said the team wants to be part of the solution and help Russell and Reidy. Russell was tendered a contract back in November, but Epstein emphasized that it was up to Russell to change for the better if he wanted to stay with the Cubs.
However, it just doesn’t seem like Russell actually cares about becoming a better person, as more allegations have surfaced from the mother of his first-born daughter.
On Tuesday evening, screenshots from Mallory Engstrom’s Instagram story were posted on Twitter and the allegations once again point to Russell being a scumbag.
Plus, whoever is advising Russell also appear to be awful.

She also shared a story from three years ago about being paid child support in quarters and dollar bills, while recalling the way Russell’s family messaged Engstrom about her daughter.
Mila, Russell and Engstrom’s daughter was born in May 2015. A few months later, Russell’s now ex-wife Reidy gave birth to their son.
Russell and his current girlfriend are also expecting the birth of their baby boy.
You really do hope that Russell gets the help he needs and does become a better person, but things don’t appear to be changing.
