The NLCS between the Brewers and Dodgers just got a lot spicier.
I don’t think Christian Yelich has ever said anything interesting, but boy did he have a lot to say after Game 4 of the NLCS.
The Dodgers ended up winning 2-1, as Cody Bellinger delivered the game-winning RBI-single in the 13th inning, scoring Manny Machado from second base with two outs.

Yelich had a solid effort on that throw, but Machado slid in safely to tie the series at two apiece.
Anyway, after the game Yelich called Machado a dirty player, but he wasn’t the only Brewer upset at Machado.

Here’s the play at first base that led to the benches clearing in Game 4 in LA.

However, Machado and Jesus Aguilar seem to be on good terms, as the Dodgers shortstop apologized after the game.
Aguilar said Machado apologized to him and they are good. He was less upset about it than his teammates.

And that included Yelich, who was extremely pissed off at Machado.
Yelich: “It’s a dirty play by a dirty player.” He said lots more too.

And what more did Yelich say about Machado?
After Yelich finished answering questions about Machado, he walked away from his locker and blurted out: “F – – k that mother- – – – er.”

Here’s more from Yelich.
"It's a dirty play by a dirty player. I have a lot of respect for him as a player, but you can't respect someone who plays the game like that."

Here are the full comments by Yelich.

Machado was asked what he thought about being called a dirty player and he shrugged it off.
Manny Machado on #Brewers MVP Christian Yelich calling him a dirty player: ‘I play baseball, I try to go out there and win for my team. If that's their comments, that's their comments, I can't do nothing about that.’

As for his explanation on what happened on the play at first, it was, ugh, questionable to say the least.
Machado on the Aguilar play: “His foot was on the bag. I was trying to get over him… if that’s dirty, that’s dirty.”

Oh and Brewers manager Craig Counsell got a shot in at Machado too.
Counsell on if Manny Machado has gone beyond the bounds of playing hard: “I don’t think he’s playing all that hard,” Counsell said.

I don’t think we’ll see any fireworks like the good old throwing at guys to prove some point thing during this series, but it’s safe to say that Machado and the Brewers have a feud going and boy would it be interesting if he ended up with the Cubs next season.
I guess, Manny’s just trying to be this year’s Chase Utley for the Dodgers.
