Chicago Bulls Visionary Passes Away

-

Tex Winter passed away on October 10th, 2018. For those Bulls fans who are not familiar with Tex, he was the coach who brought the triangle offense to the Chicago Bulls. Tex joined the Chicago Bulls as an assistant coach in 1985. Phil Jackson took over the team in 1989 and Tex was his assistant.

They both implemented the triangle offense and taught it to Michael Jordan and company. This offense was revolutionary and led the Bulls to 6 NBA titles in the 90’s. After the Bulls dynasty parted in 1999, both Phil and Tex went to the Los Angeles Lakers and helped bring in more championship titles.

Us here at Sports Mockery send out our thoughts and prayers to the Winter family in this difficult time.
