The Bulls just dropped a news bomb right before their home opener.
Sources on @TheAthleticNBA @watchstadium: The Bulls are planning to sign guard Shaquille Harrison to a deal. Harrison arrived to Chicago this weekend, joining NBA team after his release from Phoenix on Monday.

Harrison, 25, went undrafted in 2016 out of Tulsa and spent the majority of the last two seasons with the Suns’ D-League affiliate. He saw action in 23 NBA games last season, averaging 6.6 points a night. It’s safe to say that he is not a well-known player.
Even with Kris Dunn missing tonight’s game and Denzel Valentine nursing an ankle injury, this move is surprising considering the Bulls have two guards in Tyler Ulis and Rawle Alkins on two-way contracts.
In order to fit Harrison on the roster, the Bulls had to make a very tough, bold decision….
To make room for Shaquille Harrison, the Bulls will waive center Omer Asik, sources tell The Athletic.

I kid, of course, as Asik was only back with the Bulls for salary cap reasons. Still, this is likely the end of the road for the Turkish center after 8 years in the NBA.
So welcome aboard Shaquille Harrison and so long Omer Asik. Bulls fans will remember you fondly.
