With just three days before the season starts, the Bulls and 29 other teams are busy finalizing their roster.
The Bulls announced that Ryan Arcidiacano won the final 15 man roster on Sunday, but they were left with one remaining two-way roster spot. A two-way contract between the NBA and the G-league might not sound like much, but both Arcidiacano and Antonio Blakeny turned their 2017-18 two-way deals into guaranteed NBA contracts.
The Bulls filled that final spot with a former Chicago high school standout.
League sources: the Bulls have placed a waiver claim on guard Tyler Ulis. Ulis spent training camp with the Warriors and was released this week. Former Kentucky star was a local standout at Marian Catholic HS.

Ulis spent the last two seasons with Phoenix, averaging 7.6 points, 4.1 assists and 1.7 turnovers per game over 132 career contests. That’s pretty extensive experience for a player that the Bulls didn’t have to give a guaranteed contract to.
Ulis turns 23 in January, giving him plenty of time to re-establish himself as an NBA contributor. The depth at point guard behind Kris Dunn is very thin, so it’s likely Ulis will get a shot at some point to earn the backup role.
Hopefully the hometown kid can have success.
