Last night the following videos went viral, as a fight broke out at Wrigley Field after the Cubs game. The first video starts in the middle of a fight that is eventually stopped and then picks up again.

The next video shows the aftermath, as the two groups are separated, while one guy continues to yell racial slurs at the fans who are being escorted out.

Wrote about it last night and now someone who says she is the girlfriend of the guy who was shown yelling the racial slurs has reached out to share their side of what happened last night.

Here’s the direct message I received on Tuesday.

For starters, no one cares who started the fight. Everyone was making fun of all the people involved in the fight that were in the video. Second, getting into a fight and then saying racist shit, while you’re being recorded will always be worthy of being written about. It doesn’t matter what team you root for, who you are, how old you are, or what your ethnicity is. Third, “maybe got carried away.” Yeah, I’d say repeatedly yelling racial slurs might go over the line of getting carried away. Fourth, if you’ve been discriminated against, ridiculed just because of where you or your family comes from isn’t an excuse to then also be racist. Fifth, that girl threw the racist card because guess what, your boyfriend was literally yelling racist things. Don’t want to be called a racist? Don’t say racist things.

The original post would have just been a typical, “look at these clowns fighting at Wrigley.” Your guy took it to the racist level.

Oh, and I never characterized the guy as being white, or said anything about “white privilege” so go complain to someone else about that. My point was very clear on the matter. Fuck racists.

That goes for every racist. I’m sorry that your boyfriend was the one who was caught on camera saying all that shit. There is no defense to what he said.

And hey, if there was video of the other fans doing stupid shit, that would have been posted too.
