Michael Jordan dominated the Phoenix Suns with a 55-point effort. The Bulls defeated Phoenix 111-105 and Jordan’s effort matched the second-highest single-game point total in Finals history.

Michael Jordan scores 22 points with seven assists in the championship clinching game against the Seattle Supersonics. He becomes the only player ever to win the NBA Finals MVP award four times. In the series he averaged 27.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in the championship series.

There is a lasting image of Jordan after the game clutching the ball and crying. It was Father’s Day and his first championship since his father was murdered in 1993. He later said, “…this is for daddy.”
