just released their latest rookie power rankings, and it should excite Bulls fans. The reason is because, Lauri Markkanen was ranked the top rookie in the latest edition. Previously, Markkanen was unranked and was outplayed by players such as, Ben Simmons, Jayson Tatum, Kyle Kuzma, Donovan Mitchell, and Lonzo Ball, which is such a big load of crap, because Markkanen has played way better than Lonzo this entire season. He’s averaging 15.4 points along with 7.6 rebounds. He is basically averaging a near double-double. Lauri is finally receiving the recognition he deserves, and it’s an outrage that it took this long. How awesome is it for Lauri to go from being unranked to being the top rookie in the entire class. His recent performance against the Knicks is what elevated him to the top with great reasoning. He had a career-high 33 points and hit 8 three pointers.

He became the only 7-footer behind Dirk Nowitzki to reach that mark. That is great company to be apart of, especially since Dirk is a future hall of famer.

Not only has Markkanen been shooting the ball extremely well, but he attacks the basket with aggression.

In fact, Fred Hoiberg said he nearly fainted after that monster of a jam. It should be both exciting and refreshing for Bulls fans, because it’s been a while since this team has had some positive news about its future. Lauri is only 20 years old and has the potential to be a really great player. With Zach LaVine set to return this Saturday, who knows how deadly this scoring tandem to be. Add the stellar play of Kris Dunn, then who knows what these guys can accomplish this season. The Bulls have a set core in place, who will grow and develop together. It’s only a matter of time until we see these guys reach their full potential. With the possibility of Nikola Mirotic, Robin Lopez, and Justin Holiday all being traded, this team can add another weapon to the mix, because of a high draft pick, which will only make this team better. Lauri has arrived and it is exciting to see what he has in store for us in the future.
