It’s been a crazy couple of days for the White Sox pitching staff following the release of veteran John Danks. Carlos Rodon’s start was moved up a day for yesterday’s contest and Erik Johnson, who’s been called up from Triple-A Charlotte, will make his season debut tonight for the Chicago White Sox.

Johnson was up with the club for seven days a few weeks back but didn’t make an appearance. However, with a spot open in the rotation, Johnson will certainly be trying to make the most of this opportunity. He made six starts for the Sox last season and pitched well, posting a 3-1 record and a 3.34 ERA. He’s 1-1 for Charlotte this year.

Boston will counter with Henry Owens, who’ll be making his first-ever start against the White Sox. Austin Jackson is the only player in tonight’s starting lineup that’s faced him.

Here’s everything else you need to know about tonight’s series finale.
