The Best Chicago Bears Of All Time By Jersey Number: #50-59

#52-Dan Neal

Tenure: 1976-1983

This is an instance where the stat line is going to look a little boring. It’s extremely difficult to track the statistics of an offensive lineman, as Dan Neal was for the Bears for eight years in the late 1970s and early 1980s, but he was a key blocker for a nice chunk of Walter Payton’s career. He was respected so much that once his playing career was over, he took coaching positions with Buddy Ryan in Philadelphia and Arizona and also for Mike Ditka when he coached the New Orleans Saints.
