The Best Chicago Bears Of All Time By Jersey Number: #50-59

3358

#50-Mike Singletary

Tenure: 1981-1992

There’s not much that “Samurai Mike” didn’t accomplish during his career with the Chicago Bears. He was elected to the Pro Bowl on 10 occasions, was an eight-time First Team All-Pro, was the Defensive Player of the Year twice, was a member of the 1980s All-Decade Team and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1998. The way he roamed the field was amazing to watch, and the way that Buddy Ryan set up that “46 Defense”, Singletary was basically just able to do whatever he wanted out there. He was extremely difficult to block and was one of the most feared defenders in NFL history.
