The Best Chicago Bears Of All Time By Jersey Number: #50-59

#58-Wilber Marshall

Tenure: 1984-1987

He didn’t spend a long time in Chicago, but there’s no doubting the impact Wilber Marshall made as part of that vaunted “46 Defense”. He was insanely athletic, and of course there was that time he almost killed Detroit Lions quarterback Joe Ferguson. Yes, he’ll be remembered for those things as a Bear, but his fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown in the NFC Championship Game is an iconic image in Chicago sports history. He also had a sack and a fumble recovery in Super Bowl XX.

1984: 15 games, 19 tackles

1985: 16 games, 4 INT, 23 yards, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 6 sacks, 78 tackles

1986: 16 games, 5 INT, 68 yards, 4 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, 1 TD, 5.5 sacks, 105 tackles

1987: 12 games, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 5 sacks, 93 tackles
