#33-Charles Tillman

Tenure: 2003-2014

Anybody want a Peanut? That’s a Princess Bride joke if you didn’t get that, but I digress. Charles Tillman was certainly no joke on the football field. He was one of the premier defensive backs in all of football for a long time and set many team records, and an NFL record, during his time as a Chicago Bear. He tops the Bears’ all-time list with nine defensive touchdowns and most career interceptions by a cornerback with 36, which is also third on the all-time team list. The “Peanut Punch”, which is what his technique to force fumbles was called, was a major part of Tillman’s game and he set an NFL record in 2012 by forcing four fumbles in a game against the Titans. He was named to the All-Pro First Team that season and also made his second consecutive Pro Bowl. The following year, he won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Charles Tillman is one of the most respected, popular, and well-liked Chicago Bears in history.
