The Best Chicago Bears Of All Time By Jersey Number: #20-29

#27-Mike Richardson

Tenure: 1983-1988

While his post-football life hasn’t been the greatest with all of the drug-related arrests and convictions (that’s the opposite of playing it cool, “L.A. Mike”), Mike Richardson was no joke during his six-year stint with Chicago in the 80s. He played a pivotal role in the defense that helped lead the Bears to a Super Bowl XX victory. He had four interceptions during that championship season, including one for a touchdown, and tacked on seven more the following season, which earned him All-Pro honors. In all, he accumulated 20 interceptions during his time with the Bears.
