The Best Chicago Bears Of All Time By Jersey Number: #20-29

#22-Matt Forte

Tenure: 2008-current

Nobody knows just yet whether or not Matt Forte will return to the Chicago Bears next season, but if he doesn’t, or if he does for that matter, fans should be extremely thankful that they got to watch him do what he does. Not only is he a great runner (38th on the all-time NFL rushing list), and a durable one at that (he’s played in 120 of 128 possible games), but there have been few running backs in NFL history that have been as good of a receiver as he’s been throughout his career. In 2014, he set an NFL running back record with 102 receptions and in my opinion is one of the top five running backs in Chicago Bears history.

2008: 16 games, 316 carries, 1238 yards, 8 TD—63 receptions, 477 yards, 4 TD

2009: 16 games, 258 carries, 929 yards, 4 TD—57 receptions, 471 yards

2010: 16 games, 237 carries, 1069 yards, 6 TD—51 receptions, 547 yards, 3 TD

2011: 12 games, 203 carries, 997 yards, 3 TD—52 receptions, 490 yards, 1 TD

2012: 15 games, 248 carries, 1094 yards, 5 TD—44 receptions, 340 yards, 1 TD

2013: 16 games, 289 carries, 1339 yards, 9 TD—74 receptions, 594 yards, 3 TD

2014: 16 games, 266 carries, 1038 yards, 6 TD—102 receptions, 808 yards, 4 TD

2015: 13 games, 218 carries, 898 yards, 4 TD—44 receptions, 389 yards, 3 TD
