The Best Chicago Bears Of All Time By Jersey Number: #10-19

4094

#12-Erik Kramer

Tenure: 1994-1998

While he was only able to play two full seasons as the Bears starting quarterback, Erik Kramer still has the honor of having the best statistical season for a quarterback in team history. During the 1995 campaign, where he played all 16 games, Kramer set and still holds the record for most touchdowns thrown (29) and most yards in a season (3, 838). The season that comes closest to those totals was Jay Cutler’s 2014. Of course, the Bears missed the playoffs following that 1995 season, but Kramer was certainly a bright spot for the team when he could stay healthy, but that was always a problem. After leaving Chicago, he signed with San Diego but had to retire in 1999 due to a neck injury.
