This is a pretty common sight around Wrigley Field, especially during these strange start times that Major League Baseball has put on this Cubs/Cardinals NLDS. On a sunny day like today, the sun can create some big problems on the right side of the field, which is why you see Starlin Castro having some trouble at second base in the picture above. This, along with other reasons, is why on August 8, 1988, night baseball finally became a reality on the north side. 1988, you say?
